Tragic Harbour Incident

NSW Maritime is working with Police in the official investigation into the multiple fatal incident that occured on Sydney Harbour in the early hours of Thursday 1 May. The incident claimed six lives when a workboat collided with a trawler near Bradleys Head.

The official investigation aims to establish just what happened and why.

While it is inappropriate to go into details of the fatal incident, NSW Maritime says it does highlight the need for extra care when boating at night. The authority is reviewing its education and compliance program in a bid to raise awareness of safety at all hours.
